Juicy Couture Rubik Cube, Anyone?!

Hey everyone! Most of you know that I have a strange obsession with rubik cubes. It started when I was in tenth grade and one of my best friends, Sydney, would bring one to school everyday and try to solve it whenever we had free time, or, let's face it, even when we were supposed to be working. For fall break that year, Syd came on vacation with me and my family and brought her rubik cube along. She got stuck in her usual place, after she solved the green side, and was complaining during the car ride. Mom must have heard her since she turned around and said, "Oh, I can do that!" We didn't believe her so Sydney handed it over, and sure enough, Mom solved it in less that two minutes! When we asked her to teach us she said she didn't know how she did it, her fingers just moved the colors to where they needed to be. We spent the rest of vacation trying to figure out how to work the darn thing.

Once I was home from vacation, I bought my own rubik cube and logged onto youtube to find out how to solve it. I stayed up all night teaching myself, then walked into class proudly on monday, rubik cube in hand, to show Sydney how it was done. (BTW, she had looked up how to do it too, and solved it before I could even show her I had one with me!) Ever since, I've been obsessed with getting my time down on solving it.
A few days ago I tweeted the link to the most amazing rubik cube, EVER! A Juicy Couture rhinestone one! You all know how obsessed I am with Juicy Couture, I mean, hello! That's where the "juicy" in my username comes from. You better believe I would have ordered it online in a heart beat, if it wasn't for the price tag attached. A whopping $68.00 is what you'd have to fork over to own one of these, and I don't know about you, but I can't spend that on a whim for something so frivolous. However, is it weird that I really long for one?

I posted a video a long time ago showing you all me solving the rubik cube link here in 2 minutes and 3 seconds (not my best time, but it'll work.) BTW, that video is so old - it was one of my first ones, ever! I feel like a totally different person, but it's fun to look back on 15 year old me. Oh, and I totally understand what mom meant when she said she couldn't explain how to solve it. My fingers just move and half the time I have no idea what they're doing. Weird...

You tell me, would you pay $68.00 for a rhinestone incrusted Juicy Couture rubik cube?

-Blair.

I think all of your subscribers should chip in a quarter so you could have that rubik cube in no time ;) Haha, it's so you!! But you're right, that is a pretty outrageous price... or I think so at least.

if you have the money and it makes you happy why not? :)

SOOO WORTH ITTT!! especially since you are dedicated to them

It is pretty indeed, but I would never, never, néver spend that much money on it..

I wouldn't do it. When you think about it. It is pretty ridiculous to spend that much money on a rubik cube.

ale said...

i think they're made for you to develop your inteligence (for those have it) not to look at your rubik cube in the sun to see how shiny and pretty it is.

Anonymous said...

No. I wouldn't pay that much, but I do want one so if it goes on sale, I'd buy it. :)

No. I wouldn't pay that much, but I do want one so if it goes on sale, I'd buy it. :)

Noo dont waste that muchh money on something like that

Nattilein said...

It is sooo pretty and I wish I could buy it but it's a little bit too much money to spend it on a rubiks cube.
Otherwise it's also a very nice accessory that you have.
But it would not look that cute anymore if the rhinestones would fall off.

Anonymous said...

You should go for it. Think of it, your make-up is quite expensive and make-up runs out eventually. Investing in something like this would be nice (it would also last for quite some time) and as people said, you are dedicated so you might as well. It's also original and not many people would have it which is nice :)

Erika said...

You should look on eBay if they've got that Rubik's cube - it's more inexpensive! :)

Samantha said...

It's awesome but I don't think you should waste your money on it. You can buy a nice pair of boots or a pair of earrings or something. Or maybe you can find one on Ebay for cheaper.

Hope this helps!! If it does pleaaassseee tweet me at @DanaEsmail :) xxx

I have to agree $68.00 is a little silly, just for a reubix cube...although it is very cute :) ..but hey Christmas will be here soon enough...maybe just maybe someone will get you one!!

Hey Blair...
That Rubiks Cube Is Soo Cutee :D
I Would Only Spend That Much Money On A Rubiks Cube Of I Was A Collector Or Something.
This Is Kinda Off Topic But Have You Tried The Juicy Couture Perfume "Couture Couture" ?? Just Wondering.... I Love You! :D bYEE xoxo

Nicole said...

OMGHHKP! Haha :D It's so beautiful!! But i don't know, if i would spend so much on a rubik's cube..Maybe you should put it on your wishlist for xmas? :)

Anacristina said...

Well it is very pretty!!! But it is a little too much because it's something so small. But I guess the price is due to it being a designer and because of all the rhinestones. For something Juicy, it's not to-to-to expensive, but it is a bit pricey. What you could do is wait it out a little. I don't think that item is going to sell out quickly because of its price. So in a couple weeks, that cube is going to be on sale. I know because I have bought some of their things online (that I guess didn't sell too well) and a couple weeks later they were on sale for about half the price. So if I were you, I would try and wait it out. If you really want it, go for it! It's probably going to be something you will have for a very long time. And if it's something you really want then the money will be worth it. ")

I think for a Juicy and Rubik's cube addict it's a must-have ;).

Anonymous said...

yes i would because if im obssessed with something, i really am obsessed haha

Anonymous said...

I will buy it for you.. $68 is no big deal for me. do you have a PO box where I can send it? :)

Unknown said...

Why not make you're own? =) Buy lots of small cheap jewels and stick them on the rubix cube you already have. :D

Anonymous said...

If the rubix cube is something you'd get a lot of use of, why not get it? Plus it's super cute [:

Anonymous said...

I think that's outrageous, when you could go to the dollar store, and buy some little multi-colored gems and make your own for just less then, at the most, $10. But it would sure be cool to like take to school, and pull it out and just show it off :).

I LOVE IT !& If its something you really like i would go for it ! MY advise is too look on Ebay , and wait to see if it goes on sale ! :)

You should buy it.

but if you do, you should match that amount and donate to cancer research.
you could save someones life
68 dollars is a lot of money.

please, children like me are dieing.

and then everytime you solved it you can think of us and know you helped save our lives.
Thank you blair :)

Melanie said...

I agree with whoever said to bedazzle one. $68 is ridiculous for a rubiks cube, even if it is Juicy.

Lydia said...

It really IS expensive, but it combines your love of Juicy Couture and Rubix Cubes!! It's adorable! You could show it to your kids, it would be a keepsake to have forever. :D If you have the money, I'd say totally go for it, girl!! Maybe you could even find it on Ebay for a less expensive price.

Alex said...

Well, If I were as good at the rubiks cube as you. I actually would buy that! It would be a cute little thing to put in your room(:

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't because it wouldn't be that hard to make a rhinestone encrusted rubik's cube... you would really only be paying for the tiny little sign that says JUICY COUTURE. i don't think it's worth it.

Britney said...

I've read some of the comments and I have to say that my favorite idea is just buying another rubik's cube and bedazzling it yourself! I mean you made the Snooki glasses. So why not a rubik cube? And if you really pant to you could even paint it. If you decide to do it have fun!

Jenna said...

Judging by your Snooki Halloween video, you're pretty good at decorating with rhinestones!! So, why not buy a cheap Rubik cube and put your own stones on it! I think it'd actually prettier if it was just one large jewel on each face, rather than lots of small ones. Plus, that would actually be easier to make! Let me know what you think!

Anonymous said...

you do no u can just take ur old one and buy some rhinestones and stick them on and that would work just as well!!!!!! if u do put rhinestones on it will u do i vid? thanks

some0ne said...

i love it! i want one too...
and if i was you and i would really want it i would someone to buy me it as a early christmas gift or something. it is beautiful! but don't you dare spending your own money on this, cause its just a cube. does not worth 68.00$ at all.

EF said...

oh my godddddd

Anonymous said...

yeah i would [: if you really think about it its not thaaat expensive! i mean, you would carry it and use it everyday [:

Catherine said...

haha, nah. it's not really worth it for me, mainly because of the condition my regular Rubik's cube is. xD I can solve the 3x3 [I was inspired to learn it when I saw you solve it on whatthebuck], but I toss it in my purses and totes too ... all those rhinestones will fall off after like a week with me. HAHA(:

do you know if that's actually like, solvable, or is it just for looky-lookss?(:

& follow me? it would mean the world to me if you did!

I would totally buy it if I was obsessed with Rubik's Cube, Juicy Couture and girly, glitzy things. I was practically made for you. Go ahead and splurge!!!

Anonymous said...

Hey if you have the money you should get it. We all need a splurge a bit. Or you could ask for it for Christmas. But honestly, I think you should get it. Don't wait too long or you might not be able to get one!

i say, if you don't spend the money on it, you'll probably spend it in some other not so important thing. so, go for it!

And 6 different color rhinestones 3mm. Then just glued every day one little cube. It took really much time but im so happy that i did it
cube was something like 4 dollars and stones something over 10 dollars.
Ofc U can use like 6mm stones or smaller cube

Juicy Couture is one of my favorite brands. I carry the bags and wear their jewelry and use their lotions and perfumes..They are probably number one on my favorites right now.
I love their track suits too..they are so comfy.

The Cube...girl if i were you I would buy it. It is totally you. You would spend more then that on makeup or a purse or clothes. Why not spend it on something that you have fun memories of that is in an awesome brand and is sparkly and beautiful.

I say go for it.

Anonymous said...

Tho it's gorgeous, too expensive for me.
Reli wanna hv it!!
But I am not going to buy it.. It's just not possible for me!
I would rather spend my money on clothes. Hehe! :D

Kristine G. said...

I think it looks so cute!! But way to exspensive for a rubik cube!!

Cristina said...

Blair if you spend 30 bucks on a lipstick or even twice for a perfume, I would definitely go ahead and buy it without reservations.

I love solving Rubic's cubes and i'm good at it but i can't do it fast. I would buy the juicy Rubic's cube if I lived in a mansion with 45 bedrooms and I could walk around my house and find a 100 dollar bill on the floor! But for my life style-NO! I have a rubics cube with a stand I put in my room but that one would look so much better in my room. I would always be really scared that it would break or something!

Hey Blair,
as we all know how abossed you are wtih Juicy Couture, well your not alone im also very obssed with Juicy :)
I saw the Rubix Cube the other day and I was so excited aswell untill i saw the price tag.
That day I was going shopping for an outfit to wear to a friends party.
I was begging my mum to buy one for me, but sadly she said no becuase she was giving me money for an outift.
The I did one of the sadest things in my life i asked mum if I could buy the Rubix cube instead of a new outift and just wear something I already had and she said yes.
I was so happy, but when I went to pick out my outfit I remembered abut a month ago when I went shopping and bought a dress to wear to a party and I hadn't worn it yet.
My rubix cube hasne't arrived yet seeing I live in Australia but it should arrive within a week. :)

OMG! i would soooo buy that! i mean its juicy, its a rubiks cube so why not? and its something you would enjoy because you love rubiks cubes and sparkly/girly things. IT HAS BLAIR WRITTEN AALLL OVER IT!!!

addie said...

OK,Ithink think that is the cutest thing ever but 68 dollars is kindof alot . To tell ya da truth i bought a rubik cube that was just a plain white one . ur supposted to color it but i bought a million rhinestones and hot glued the on the total price was 12 dollars shure its might not look as good as that one but its still cuteeeeeee.

I think you should just go ahead and buy it. It would be like your signature item, because you have "juicy" in your username, named after Juicy Couture. It's like a symbol of fashion + smarts, which is you!

I would by it!
I also do love cubes and i can also solve it, i do have a 3x3x3 and a 4x4x4 and i really would like to own a 5x5x5.
I really would like to own this one also but they don't ship to Denmark :/

And excuse for my bad English xD

omg blair that cube is SOOOOO you. i would soo buy it. the price isnt TOO baad i mean its expensive but you like them soo... :)

Tasha said...

if i were you i would get it.
you're a rich girl, you'd spend that money on shoes or something in five seconds. and your make up collection must be worth like ten times more than that, it's just not that much in relation.
and it'd be like a single collection piece, you could just set it somewhere in your room, admire it and stuff. i believe you wouldn't regret buying it! =)

Anonymous said...

that is a huge, absolutely ginormous, waste of money!!!!!!!

I was watching this other makeup youtuber and ive never really watched her before but her story was really touching. omghhkp! omghhkp! OMGHHKP! Thats amazing! love rubix cubes, love juicy couture! don't love the price. I would either as for christmas, ask for it from all of your friends as a group present, live without it, or hot glue rhinestones on a rubix cube. Its soooooooo hilarious that juicy couture came out with this! lol!

I just started rubik's-ing. and can solve the first two layers fairly quickly. It's that last that is giving me trouble. You should post a youtube video about what method you use and how to solve it and stuff. Yes and I LOVE that cube!

My cousin just bought me one for my birthday
It works but its a bit stiff, I'm a bigger fan of the original rubik's cube, but if you really like Juicy and you can spare $68 than go for it
Be careful though because some of my rhinestones have fallen off already so I'm not sure its totally worth it
maybe if you want to just solve it once and display it?

If I had the money and I had nothing to do with it definitly!

well it looks really nice , but I'd save that money (if i had it , i am from egypt , we don't use dollars :P)
for something that I really need (or want more that the rubik's cube)
instead , I could just buy a normal one , buy some decorations and do my one personalized one :D

Nicole :) said...

That is really a ridiculous price.. but alot of there stuff is pretty expensive so im not surprised. I wouldn't because its wont make any difference in how well you can solve it..it will just be shinier..but I don't know if the sparkle is worth the extra 60$, well at least not for me. But I have to admit.. It is pretty cool and I can fully understand your desire for one haha
